They have agreed, covenanted and mutually agreed as follows:
The Academy provides the "Data Science Bootcamp" training program for the duration announced on the website.
The student must complete and deliver the "Prework" exercise package one week before the first day of the course.
Consistent attendance in class and workshops: the student must keep his/her camera on throughout the lectures - otherwise he/she will receive an absence.
The following requirements apply for the completion of the programme and the receipt of the certificate:
The student undertakes to conduct himself/herself with respect for other students and to respect other students, teachers and administrative and support staff and not to interfere with the smooth running of the course.
The Academy accepts no responsibility for any malfunctions or damage that may be caused by software used during the course installed on the student's computer.
The student against the above described educational work provided by the Academy will pay the total amount of tuition fees.
Advance payment:
Each Bootcamp class consists of a specific maximum number of students in order to ensure the quality of the training provided. Priority will be given to fill the seats, and occupancy among those who have already applied will be ensured by the timely payment of the following deposit amount.
The student must pay the amount of five hundred euros (€500) within five (5) working days after successful completion of interviews to secure his/her place on the programme.
The student must pay the remaining amount in 2 monthly instalments.
Use of credit card: it is possible to pay the remaining amount (beyond the deposit) in up to 12 interest-free instalments using a credit card (not a debit card).
The total cost of participation is reduced by 250 euro, either if the student pre-pays the total amount of the tuition fees before the start of the course or by using a credit card. This reduction does not apply in the case of any discount or partial scholarship beyond the early application.
In the event that for reasons of force majeure - which are not due to the fault of any of the parties herein - the courses of the program are cancelled, then the entire amount paid - up to the point of cancellation - will be refunded to any account indicated by the student, within thirty (30) working days of the occurrence of the event, as a result of which the courses of the program were cancelled.
Before the start of the course
If for any reason the student declares that he/she wishes to cancel his/her participation in the Bootcamp up to fifteen (15) working days before the start of the course, then any amount paid will be refunded in full to any bank account indicated by the student within thirty (30) working days of the declaration of withdrawal. The Academy has the right to announce the exact start dates up to sixteen (16) working days in advance of the start of the course.
If the student makes the above cancellation declaration less than fifteen (15) working days before the start of the course, the above deposit will not be refunded. If any amount has already been paid (in addition to the above deposit), it will be refunded in full to any account indicated by the student within thirty (30) working days of the occurrence of the event that precludes his/her participation.
After the start of the course
In case the student decides to withdraw and leave the Bootcamp by the end of the first (1st) week of the course (Sunday), any amount paid, excluding the E500 deposit, will be refunded in full to any bank account indicated by the student within thirty (30) working days from the day he/she declares his/her departure. At the beginning of the second (2nd) week of training, no refunds will be made, the student must pay any remaining balance due for full payment of the registration fee, at any time if he/she declares withdrawal from the Bootcamp.
Withdrawal Procedure:
In order for any refund to be issued, a signed withdrawal request must be sent via email to administration@bigblue.academy.
Failure on the part of the student to submit written complaints about the training services provided constitutes unconditional acceptance of the training services.
The Academy has the right to terminate the student's participation from the programme if the student fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions and to pursue (including in court) any claims arising from this contract or damages .
All information provided as well as that contained in the training material (indicatively: documents, electronic files, images, videos, photographs, logos, trademarks) provided and distributed or with which the student comes into contact in the context of the Bootcamp - and regardless of how the information came to the student's knowledge - are the property of the Academy, its business partners and associates, who retain all intellectual property rights in relation to them, and the student acknowledges the above.
The information covered by the obligation of confidentiality is referred to as 'know-how' (scientific methods - technical knowledge - technical information). It concerns methodology, procedures, design, provision of an educational service. They also relate to procedures, policies, documents of supervisory authorities linked to the Academy and concern anything of importance to the Academy.
The student undertakes the obligations:
Any violation of these rights shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of national and European legislation (Law 2121/1993, as amended and in force since Law 4672/2020) on the protection of intellectual and industrial property and fair competition. Failure by the student to comply with the above confidentiality obligations shall entitle the Academy to claim compensation for any proven damage suffered by it, regardless of whether the leak of Confidential Information and the breach of the terms of the Agreement was caused by fraudulent intent, gross negligence or slight negligence. In the event of a breach by the student of the confidentiality clause with regard to the data and intellectual property of the Academy's business partners and associates, the student shall assume full liability towards the Academy's business partners and associates.
The Academy, in the context of the exercise of the educational activity in accordance with the provisions of the legislation on personal data protection, keeps records and processes personal data, defining the purpose and defining the means of processing (indicatively the staff employed, the customers served, external partners, etc.).
This data protection agreement shall enter into force on the date of the student's application and shall have an indefinite duration.
The course may be recorded by the Academy for educational or promotional purposes.
During the term of this Agreement and for an indefinite period from the expiration or termination of this Agreement for any reason, the student(s) shall not breach the duty of confidentiality and secrecy as described above. It is agreed that the confidentiality clause agreed between the parties herein is in fact for the purpose of safeguarding and protecting the legitimate interests of the Academy and is not intended merely to restrict the student's freedom.
Modification of the Programme and Terms and Conditions of Participation
The Academy reserves the right, at any time, to modify the structure, content and format of the Bootcamp, the start time of the Bootcamp course deliveries and/or the Terms and Conditions of Participation in the Bootcamp. In such a case, the Academy will inform the trainees through the Bootcamp website. Such changes may refer indicatively (but not limited to) to the content and requirements of the syllabus and course content, the timing of the start of course deliveries, the forms and duration of the examination, and the examination rules and methods.
The Academy shall have the right to announce the exact start dates up to sixteen (16) business days in advance of the start of classes.
Use of the bigblue.academy website (and additional associated websites such as class.bigblue.academy, gitlab.bigblue.academy and as well as other subdomains) and participation in the Bootcamp constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Breach of any of these Terms and Conditions by any participant is grounds for permanent termination of their participation in the Bootcamp.
For any issue arising and related to the Bootcamp, Greek law will be applicable and for any dispute or claim arising in relation to the above, the courts of Athens will be exclusively competent, regardless of the residence of the student.
The Academy reserves the right to assert (including in court) any claims arising from this contract or from damages that may arise from non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions.
The effective date of this Agreement will be taken as the date of signing of this Agreement.
This Agreement has been executed in two identical originals and, having read and confirmed the contents thereof, each party has received one original.
